Adorable guide dog turns heads as he shares the red carpet with Love Islander Faye Winter

A charming guide dog named Bill has been hogging the limelight at some of the UK's glitziest dos, capturing the attention of A-listers and West End stars.

The adorable canine companion turned celebrity, Bill, certainly made his mark on top-tier events such as the Mirror's Pride of Britain awards, the National Chef of the Year accolades, and even managed to steal the spotlight during a stage rehearsal for 'The Devil Wears Prada' musical.

During the Pride of Britain celebrations, Bill strutted down the red carpet alongside his owner Mohammed Ibrahim, with reality TV star and Guide campaign ambassador Faye Winter in tow, receiving a warm welcome from the crowd including famed comic Troy Hawke.

Not one to miss out on stage action, the delightful two year old pooch also found his way onto the set during practice sessions for 'The Devil Wears Prada' musical at the famed Dominion Theatre in London.

Even the likes of Vanessa Williams, who stars as Miranda Priestly in the stage adaptation, were taken aback by Bill's impromptu visit.

At the prestigious Craft Guild Craft Guild of Chefs National Chef of the Year event, an award previously claimed by culinary titan Gordon Ramsay, Bill got in on the act, posing for photos with the proud winners and their hard-earned trophies.

Bill's string of unexpected cameos was part of the "Unexpected Bills" initiative launched by Guide Dogs, aiming to highlight the spiralling costs associated with pet ownership.

In support of these extraordinary animals and those who depend on them, Guide Dogs is urging the public to contribute to their Puppy Appeal . The charity is seeking vital funds to maintain its transformative services, especially in light of the increasing expenses involved in caring for the canines.

A spokesperson for the charity stated: "Bill has done an amazing job popping up in places where you'd least expect him just like how household bills can. We understand people are being squeezed from all angles, and we wanted to demonstrate in a creative way about what that means for dog and Guide Dog owners."

"We know pet owners want to provide the best care for their dogs, and as a charity we're no different. Guide Dogs relies on donations to continue our life-changing work and covers the costs of all of our working guide dogs, including vet and food bills."

"We believe a person's financial situation should never be a barrier to having a guide dog and need the public's support now more than ever before."

The campaign comes after research of 2,000 dog owners found almost three quarters are worried about rising costs associated with pet ownership., with over half hit with an unexpected bill for their dog.

Pet owners estimate on average they spend £1,144 in vet bills alone in a typical year with the most expensive bill amounting to nearly £2,000. But amid the backdrop of increasing bills and rising costs, 68% were understanding of the need vets and other businesses have to cover ever-increasing outgoings.

A Guide Dogs spokesperson added: "Our recently qualified guide dog, Bill, has been amazing at spreading awareness about the financial pressures impacting us as a charity, but also for dog owners across the country."

"Bill has been a very good boy, and I'm sure he will continue to be. And who knows, he may pop up in other places when you least expect him, too."
