But Duran signed a new deal with the club just last month and insists he can achieve "big things" under Unai Emery at Villa.

FL says: It is no surprise that Arsenal have been linked with a move for Duran, as their need for a top-quality forward has been there for all to see in recent seasons when they have finished runners-up in the Premier League.
However, it looks like Duran isn't going to be the man for Arteta's side. Not in the short-term, at least.
