BBC Breakfast presenter Ben Thompson was left stunned after a viewer made a "questionable" confession that promoted the star to say: "each to their own."

On Saturday's (October 19) instalment of the morning show, Ben and co-host Sarah Campbell were back on our TV screens as they chatted about the day's biggest news from the comfort of the famous red sofa.

With it being National Album Day and British bands taking centre stage this year, viewers were encouraged to share their top album picks.

Ben kicked things off, announcing: "We've been talking to you this morning about it being National Album Day and we've asked you to send in your suggestions of what is your go to, your must have and Iconic album."

Sarah interjected: "It's so difficult being put on the spot because there's so many good albums. You have been sending in your brilliant albums, so let's go through them."

reports how hosts sifted through fans' favourite albums, but one particular choice had Ben raising an eyebrow while Sarah struggled not to laugh before remarking, "I'm going to leave you for the last one because I love this."

Ben, visibly surprised, disclosed that Ian from Staffordshire had a soft spot for Slade's legendary 1972 live album 'Slade Alive!', dubbing it his all-time favourite.

The telly host playfully teased a viewer, "Ian this is a questionable choice but each to their own", but added: "Well good for you Ian. Whatever makes you happy."

His co-host Sarah chimed in, endorsing the listener's musical choice, "Exactly, Slade changed his life and I love that."

During the same segment, Sarah shared Pet Shop Boys' 'Please' was her very first purchase and reminisced about Queen's 'The Works' as a memorable album from her past.

Ben shared his nostalgia for Oasis with 'What's the Story Morning Glory?' being one his first albums.
