Tottenham have won the Europa League. Brennan Johnson's first half goal was enough to overcome Manchester United in a tight final played in Bilbao on Wednesday night.
It is the club's first major trophy since 2008 when they beat Chelsea in the League Cup. Watched on by chairman Daniel Levy, Ange Postecoglou's side have now cemented themselves in history.
Despite being 17th in the Premier League, Spurs were able to overcome Manchester United (only 16th themselves) in Bilbao on Wednesday night. As well as claiming silverware, the result means Tottenham will play in the Champions League next season.
The Australian's position in charge of Tottenham in the long run is still in doubt.
He was able to celebrate a special night in Spain regardless of what is to come. Johnson opened the scoring right on half-time, getting in ahead of the United defenders to Pape Matar Sarr's cross.
The ball came off Luke Shaw as it deflected towards Andre Onana in goal but still found its way in. Postecoglou was quick to celebrate with his coaching staff as Ryan Mason jumped from the bench to join in a group hug.

United probed for an equaliser with Micky van de Ven forced to make an acrobatic and remarkable goal-line clearance, hurting himself in the process. Guglielmo Vicario also kept out an effort from substitute Alejandro Garnacho.
The United winger then had an overhead kick attempt in the final minute but could only send it wide. Spurs held their nerve and showed great discipline to secure an emotional victory.
In order to hold out, Postecoglou sent on defensive reinforcements and his men got over the line. The win sparked scenes of mass jubilation both on the field and in the stands.
