She championed the passing of a Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill in Parliament, which demanded legally binding actions to reduce Britain's greenhouse gas emissions and restrict global warming to no more than 1.5C.
The celeb waxed lyrical to the Henley Standard about her local love affair, saying: "I moved here without even visiting Henley. I was sold purely on the charm of this village, which I absolutely adore because of its proximity to the river and great walks on the doorstep."
Upon her first visit to Henley after settling in, she expressed her surprise at her good fortune: "I first popped into Henley after moving and immediately realised how lucky I was to not only have more space and a better quality of life but also this beautiful and historic market town just a few minutes away."
Speaking fondly of her early teen son's eco-conscious habits, she revealed that he shares her environmental zeal, actively cleaning up the river with pals.
The star's journalist and presenter career didn't stop her from boasting about her offspring, Zak, who celebrated his 15th birthday in August. She paid homage to him online, proclaiming proudly: "And just like that my beautiful boy is 15 and taller than me!"
In a heartfelt birthday message, she gushed: "Wishing you the happiest of birthdays and a year filled with all the good things you deserve - climb that ladder to the stars."
Signing off with maternal love, she added: "I love you to the moon and back and I'm so proud of you, mum x".
