Margot Robbie has given birth to her first child, a boy.
According to reports, the star is said to have gone into labour two weeks before she was due to give birth to her daughter. Despite this, sources claim that "all is well" with the happy family of three. It's claimed that Margot gave birth on October 17, with their nearest and dearest being sworn to secrecy in order to maintain their privacy.
Margot and her husband Tom Ackerley's parents are believed to be heading to Los Angeles in order to meet their granddaughter. The daughter, whose name has not yet been disclosed is the 12th grandchild for Tom's parents who reside in Surrey, where he was brought up. It comes after Tom was seen close to their home in Venice Beach, California, stocking up on baby supplies, according to . He was seen collecting a huge box of nappies from Coterie, as well as a box of cigars and a bottle of wine.
The Barbie actress, 34, had reportedly been spending time settling down in California ahead of welcoming her first child with British husband, Tom. Sources claimed that couldn't wait to become a first time mum. They added that she and Tom had "wanted to be parents for a really long time, and are so happy."
Australian-born star Margot made no secret of sharing her joy about being pregnant and proudly showcased her blossoming baby bump on several occasions. Speculation about Margot's emerged in July this year after she was spotted with a small bump while enjoying a break in Lake Como, Italy.
While she and Tom often keep their personal lives to themselves, they were congratulated by a string of huge names, including Vogue magazine, which Margot has graced the covers of several times.
Margot and Tom first met in 2013 on the set of the World War II drama Suite Française. They tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Australia's Byron Bay in December 2016 but it came as a surprise for some as the couple kept their engagement a secret. In an interview with Vogue back in 2016, Margot opened up about her relationship with Tom and the first time they met. She said: "I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, Oh, he would never love me back.
"Don't make it , Margot. Don't be stupid and tell him that you like him. And then it happened, and I was like, 'Of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.'" But, it seems that Margot always knew that she wanted a family as she mentioned planning a large brood in an interview back in 2016. The Wolf of Wall Street star said that she grew up as one of four children so she is planning on doing something similar to her parents.
Speaking the eight years ago, Margot said: "I want tons of children! Well, maybe not too many. I grew up in a family of four [kids], so that sounds like a good number." Despite this, she was in no rush as she didn't want her further children to be affected by her successful career.
The has approached Margot's representatives for comment.
