Primark's £34 'timeless' autumn coat looks 'much more expensive than it is'

Primark shoppers have been sharing their love for a go-to coat that will see them through the rainy autumn days ahead. Fashion often changes through time, but some items stand the test and look good decades later.

Priced at £34, the Camel Double-Breasted Trench Coat is described as a 'timeless' autumn coat that can keep you warm and stylish. Primark says the coat is perfect for "when it's not quite puffer coat season but the weather calls for a coat you can layer to suit almost any temperature".

Primark also says the coat is a "saviour" for all occasions thanks to its timeless style. The trench coat is made with a 'lightweight fabric', which can be worn in almost any season, and you can layer up underneath it easily.

The coat features a double-breasted front, button detail sleeve loops, notched lapels and side pockets. Together, they create a "real sense of sophistication."

Primark bosses also shared some styling advice, ranging from a casual white tee and blue jeans to "your cosiest jumpers" and leggings. There is a clear trend being set this year as many shoppers opt for "timeless" styles that "look expensive" at affordable prices.

On TikTok, plenty of people have uploaded videos of the coat, either clips of them trying them on or showing how they would style it. There were lots of positive opinions online as people prepare for the upcoming chilly weather.

One said: "I got the beige one - no regrets!" Another added that they were "obsessed" with the look. A third wrote: "This is giving me all the autumn inspo I needed. Primark is really ticking all the boxes this season!"

Someone else shared: "I just bought mine and people thought it was so expensive looking! They were shocked when I showed them it was from Primark!"

Lots of shoppers had rave reviews of the darker options available at Primark, including the £32 Classic Double Breasted Mac. However, the style was not to everyone's taste as some commented that the coat was "giving old lady vibes" whilst a few other had concerns about how it would fit on shorter people.
