kept waiting for almost an hour on Tuesday, according to reports.

The loved-up couple were flying out of Kansas City for the east coast aboard a swish Gulfstream jet along with Taylor's dad, Scott. The singer, 34, and her father boarded the aircraft at 6.05pm and waited for the Kansas Chiefs star to join them. However, Travis, 35, is said to have rocked up at 7pm in his white hummer, which he tried to drive onto the apron of the runway only to find the gate locked.

Eventually a member of Tay-Tay's armed security entourage was able to usher the star to the $61 million (£47m) plane and Travis dashed up the stairs. They took off just as his brother Jason was pulling up to the same Kansas City-area airport to fly home to Philadelphia.

According to the Travis had been entertaining Taylor and her father in his sprawling mansion in Kansas after the pair flew in to watch his game with the New Orleans Saints.

The American football star now has a bye week from the Chiefs and is not due back in training until the team starts prepping for its October 20 clash with the 49ers.

Taylor raised eyebrows when she was no-show at her boyfriend birthday party over the weekend, but the singer made sure to be in attendance at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Monday night.

Travis celebrated his big day with more than just a party, spending the day giving back to the community. Travis hosted his second annual Kelce Car Jam charity event in Kansas City on Saturday, an event that benefits his 87 and Running Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged youth in Kansas City and Cleveland.

The charity event was a huge success, with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, adding some glam to the guest list. However, Taylor was noticeably absent, despite a recent US Weekly report suggesting that "Swift will likely be on hand to celebrate his October 5 birthday with family and friends at his Kelce Car Jam in Kansas City."

It has since been revealed that the Bad Blood billionaire has been flat-out preparing for the Eras Tour to resume later this month. An insider recently added to Entertainment Tonight: "Taylor and Travis are still together and doing well. He’s been busy with the season, and she has been enjoying some time off before her upcoming shows. Even though Taylor isn’t currently touring, she is still very busy with work and sorting out her upcoming plans."

Following her appearance at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Monday night, it's believed Taylor won't pop up in the stands again for a few weeks due to her touring commitments. The Eras Tour, which officially ends in December, starts again in Miami on October 18. However, come November, Tay-Tay is likely to be seen cheering on her man once again.

The Mirror has contacted Travis' reps for comment.
