Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has revealed that as he acknowledged his teammates "love" their new boss.

As the Merseysiders sit top of the at this early stage in the campaign, vice-captain Alexander-Arnold appears to already count himself as a Slot disciple. That is according to celebrity chef Simon Rimmer, who revealed that the England man spoke in glowing terms about the head coach when they enjoyed a conversation recently.
While appearing alongside Toby Tarrant on , the restaurateur and TV presenter opened up on how he got the inside track from . He said: "I’ve been part of LFC’s Christmas retail campaign this year, and I was chatting to Trent Alexander-Arnold."
Going into more detail about how Slot endeared himself to the right-back, Rimmer continued: "So I said to Trent, 'What do you think of him (Slot)?'’ And he said, 'Right, so, second week that we’re there', he says to me in training, 'Can I have a word with you after training, Trent?'
"He goes, 'Here we go – this is when I’m going to get told I’m a terrible defender, blah blah blah.' And he goes, 'I’ve got a few video clips you should look at. He goes, 'Here we go, here’s where Anthony Gordon’s roasting me, here’s where such and such is roasting me.'"
He added: "And he said, 'He’s got 50 clips of me in training, and he said, 'This is a really good position – if you turn your body eight degrees to the right, you’ve got a better chance of making a strong tackle than the way you stand at the moment.' Trent said, 'I was just blown away; it was all positive.' And he said, 'Look, I get it. I completely get it.'"
Expressing final verdict on the new head coach's standing within the Liverpool locker room, Rimmer said: “All the players love him. Isn’t that ace? Isn’t that brilliant?”
Speaking ahead of the Reds' clash with Brighton at the weekend, Slot provided details on the situation surrounding the contracts of the full-back, alongside teammates and . He said: "For me, the contract situation could become a problem if the players don’t perform as well as they do at the moment.
"Although then it’s also not sure that IF they don’t perform as good anymore that it has anything to do with their contract situation. At the moment, all three of them are in a good place, they all perform really, really well, and there are ongoing discussions between, what Virgil said, the people he had to talk with. And that’s not me, as you know!"
