UP Police Recruitment: There's good news for the youth of Uttar Pradesh who dream of working in the police department. The Motor Transport Branch of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has begun the recruitment process for 176 "Head Constable (Motor Transport)" positions. However, this recruitment process will only be open to personnel holding the positions of Constable Driver and Head Constable Driver posted in district units and PAC battalions.
External candidates or new applicants are not eligible. The recruitment process will be completed through the Technical Service Circular, with selection based on a written examination and a practical test.
Written Exam Date and Center
The written examination for personnel who have applied for the Head Constable (Motor Transport) position will be held on October 5th. The examination center is located at the Old Campus of Lucknow University, University Road, Badshahbagh, near Hanuman Setu. Admit cards will be made available on the UP Police's official website, uppbpb.gov.in. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards using their credentials.
No opportunity for re-examination
The recruitment examination will be conducted in two stages:
Phase 1 - Written Examination (70 marks)
Phase 2 - Practical Technical Knowledge Test (50 marks)
Important: The Board has clarified that if a candidate is absent from the examination for any reason, they will not be allowed to reappear.
Results and Joining Process
After the examination, the marks will be evaluated as per the service rules. Based on the marks and other qualifications, a final selection list will be prepared.
