The New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express, India’s longest Vande Bharat route, has had its service extended until November 30, 2024, due to the high demand during Chhath Puja. Originally slated to operate until November 20, the extension allows additional travel days for passengers, making commuting during the festive season more accessible.
Extended Operation Dates- Train No. 02252 (New Delhi to Patna Junction) will now run on November 22, 24, 27, and 29, 2024.
- Train No. 02251 (Patna Junction to New Delhi) will operate on November 23, 25, 28, and 30, 2024.
The New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express covers a 994 km journey in 11 hours and 35 minutes, making it the longest route for a Vande Bharat train.

- Departure: 8:25 am from New Delhi
- Arrival: 8:00 pm at Patna
- Stops: Kanpur (1:02 pm), Prayagraj (3:05 pm), Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction (4:50 pm), Buxar (6:15 pm), Ara Junction (7:08 pm)

- Departure: 7:30 am from Patna Junction
- Arrival: 7:00 pm at New Delhi
- Stops: Ara (8:05 am), Buxar, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Prayagraj, Kanpur
According to the Ministry of Railways, this special Vande Bharat Express is operating on a trial basis, stopping at major stations along the route:
- AC Chair Car: ₹2,575
- AC Executive Chair Car: ₹4,655 (Patna-Delhi)
