New Delhi [India], April 5 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav addressed a press conference in New Delhi on Saturday regarding the "Vikramaditya Mahanatya Mahamanchan," set to be held at the Red Fort in New Delhi from April 12 to 14. The event aims to revive and celebrate the legacy of the legendary emperor Vikramaditya through an elaborate historical drama featuring over 250 artists and live animals.
Addressing a press conference in the national capital, CM Yadav said, "We are trying to showcase history in front of everyone by staging a Mahanatya. When the Mahanatya will be performed at Red fort, you will see valour of Vikarmaditya. We are aware of Vikram-Betaal but when see it in live performance, we will experience the pleasure of it. There will be more than 250 artists along with elephants and horses performing in this Mahanatya."
The performance, which includes elephants and horses along with the artists, is being jointly organised by the Madhya Pradesh government in association with the Delhi Government, Sanskar Bharti, and other cultural bodies.
He further added, "Earlier, a three-day show was also organised in Hyderabad. Emperor Vikramaditya is respected in all the states across the nation, but we are trying to revive the Vikramaditya era by going to every state so that a great hero like him can be remembered."
Earlier in the day, CM Yadav also met with Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at the Secretariat. Delhi minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa was present at the meeting.
"Today, during my visit to New Delhi, I had a courtesy meeting with the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, at the Secretariat. On this occasion, I extended my best wishes to her for the development works and innovations being carried out in Delhi", CM Yadav said in a post on his official 'X' handle.
Additionally, the Chief Minister attended a seminar on the "Social Implications of Artificial Intelligence" at the Deendayal Research Institute in Delhi on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters after the event, he said, "Today, the Deendayal Research Institute organised a seminar on 'Social Implications of Artificial Intelligence' in Delhi. Union Minister Jitin Prasada and other officials addressed the topic and presented their views. This is a contemporary issue. I am glad that a detailed discussion was held on this topic." (ANI)
