Russian President Vladimir Putin has strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, India, during a phone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. The attack, which resulted in the tragic loss of 26 innocent lives, has sparked global outrage, and President Putin expressed his deepest condolences to India.
According to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs ( MEA), President Putin conveyed Russia's full support to India in its fight against terrorism. He emphasised the importance of bringing the perpetrators and their supporters to justice for the heinous act.
The two leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership, with a shared focus on combating terrorism and maintaining peace.
In addition, Prime Minister Modi extended his greetings to President Putin on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day. PM Modi also invited President Putin to attend the Annual Summit, which is scheduled to be held in India later this year.
