Samsung is all set to shake things up with what might be its slimmest phone ever — the Galaxy S25 Edge. First teased at Galaxy Unpacked in Jan 2025, the phone has been making quiet appearances since, including a proper reveal at MWC 2025. And yes, that ultra-thin profile is real — complete with a dual-camera setup and a premium titanium frame. While there’s no official launch date yet, the buzz points to a mid-May drop. That said, don’t expect a global rollout on day one — some regions, including India, might have to wait a little longer.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Launch
Initial reports had pegged the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge for an April 15 launch, but fresh leaks now point to a slight delay, with May 13, 2025, being the new expected date. While Samsung hasn’t confirmed the reason behind the shift, industry insiders speculate that the recent passing of co-CEO Han Jong-hee may have played a role.
Even once it’s official, don’t expect a global release right away. The S25 Edge is likely to roll out first in select markets — starting with South Korea and China. That said, a BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) listing has already surfaced, hinting that an India launch could be just around.
Pricing and features we can expect
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is shaping up to be a premium device, with leaks suggesting pricing between Rs 1,28,300 for the 256GB model and Rs 1,40,200) for the 512GB version. In India, it’s expected to be priced between Rs 1,13,000 and Rs 1,31,900, placing it closer to the Galaxy S25 Ultra than the base S25.
What sets it apart is its ultra-slim design, measuring just 5.84mm, while still delivering flagship performance. The phone will sport a titanium frame for strength and scratch resistance, and will come in Titanium Icy Blue, Titanium Jet Black, and Titanium Silver. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and 12GB RAM, it promises smooth multitasking.
In terms of cameras, the S25 Edge will feature a dual-lens setup, including a 200MP primary camera, and a 12MP front camera. The only compromise might be the 4,000mAh battery, which is smaller compared to other flagships, likely due to its slim profile.
