From heart-to-hearts with friends to society meetings and even political debates, LP is the unofficial heart of Hansraj College.


Rama Sharma, the Principal of Hansraj College, and Ankit, a first-year B.Com (Hons) student, once shared with TOI that the popular hangout spot on campus is fondly known as Lover’s Point. According to student tales passed down over the years, it earned this nickname because it’s believed that Shah Rukh Khan proposed to Gauri at this very spot, a place where countless college love stories have since taken root.

And there’s more to Hansraj than just its romantic reputation. The college is also known for having the only electronic shooting range in all of Delhi University, a fun fact that surprises many. But let’s be real, most people come here first to see where SRK once studied, and maybe, just maybe, to recreate their own Bollywood moment.
