Indian Railways is going to run a special train for the devotees visiting the holy cave of Amarnath and Mata Vaishno Devi from many cities of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, which will run from Jabalpur to Katra. Devotees traveling in this can travel at a lower fare. Railways has released the schedule of this train, so that passengers can travel by booking tickets as per their convenience.

According to the Railway Ministry, Amarnath Yatra Special train number 01707 / 01708 Jabalpur-Shri Vaishno Devi Dham Katra Amarnath Yatra Special is being run to provide additional convenience to the passengers. This train will make two trips from Jabalpur on 04 August and 11 August and from Shri Vaishno Devi Dham Katra on 05 August and 12 August. The train will stop at various cities of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

Train number 01707 departs from Jabalpur every Monday at 5:25 am, reaches Katni Mudwara at 6:45-6:50 am, Damoh station at 08:10-8:15 am, Sagar station at 9:15-9:20 am, Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi station at 14:45-14:55 pm, Gwalior station at 17:25-17:30 pm, Morena station at 18:03-18:05 pm, Agra station at 19:40-19:45 pm, Mathura station at 20:50- 20:55 pm, Alwar station at 23:45-00:20 pm, Rewari station at 01:43-01:45 pm, Jhajjar station at 02:25-02:27 pm, Rohtak station at 03:10-03:15 pm, Jakhal station It will stop at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Dham Katra at 18:00 hrs after stopping at Dhuri station at 06:00-06:05 hrs, Dhuri station at 7:15-7:20 hrs, Ludhiana station at 09:25-09:35 hrs, Jalandhar station at 10:20-10:25 hrs, Pathankot station at 12:35-12:40 hrs, Jammu Tawi station at 15:10-15:20 hrs.

General to AC coaches
The train will have a total of 24 coaches, including two general SLR/Divyang coaches, 04 general class coaches, 09 sleeper class coaches, 06 AC third class coaches, two AC second class coaches and 01 first AC class coach. The maximum sleeper class ticket will be only Rs 600. Devotees can travel by taking confirmed tickets.
