Dewas (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic road accident, 3 persons were killed after the driver lost control over car and hit a tree on the Indore-Betul National Highway on Sunday, as reported by the police.
As per reports, the accident took place between Bedmau and Polai villages. It is said that the occupants of the car were travelling from Indore. This is when the vehicle collided with a roadside tree near a danger zone.
According to information, those killed in the incident were identified as Sunita Purohit, Lokesh Tiwari and Abhishek Purohit, residents of Borkheda village, Nasrullaganj tehsil and Sehore district respectively.

Two succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the third passed away while he was en route to the hospital. Another occupant, Gopal, was injured and was referred to Indore for further treatment, the official said.
Eyewitnesses said that the driver lost control while attempting to avoid a cattle that had appeared suddenly on the road.
After witnessing the tragedy, villagers and Kamalapur police rushed and rescued those trapped.
This incident adds to the alarming number of accidents in this stretch, with over eight fatalities and 40 injuries in the past 1.5 months across danger zones.
