In a decisive crackdown on unauthorized constructions, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) carried out a demolition drive at Nagzhari Chawl in the Navade jurisdiction. The operation, conducted on the directives of Municipal Commissioner Mangesh Chitale, targeted an illegally built warehouse.
Heavy machinery, including JCBs and Pokland machines, was used to dismantle the structure. The drive was supervised by Deputy Commissioner Ravikiran Ghodke, Ward Officer Arvind Patil, In-charge Superintendent Amar Patil, and Jitendra Madhavi. MSF personnel, police officers, and the PMC’s encroachment team were also present to ensure smooth execution.
Emphasizing strict action against unauthorized structures, In-charge Superintendent Arvind Patil stated, “Any unauthorized sheds or constructions within municipal limits must be removed immediately. Failure to comply will result in demolition action by the PMC. Prior approval from the municipal corporation is mandatory for any construction. Unauthorized structures will be deemed illegal and demolished accordingly.”
The PMC has urged residents and business owners to comply with municipal regulations to avoid legal action.
