West Bengal Police 2025: The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has issued the exam timetable for Constable, Sub Inspector, and other positions. According to the notification, the preliminary test for Sub Inspector (Unarmed Branch) and Sub Inspector (Armed Branch) in West Bengal Police - 2024 will be held on October 12, 2025. The final combined competitive exam for SI/Sub-Inspectress (Unarmed Branch), SI (Armed Branch), and Sergeant in the Kolkata Police - 2023 will take place on October 15, 2025.
The written test for Constable jobs in West Bengal Police - 2024 and the initial exam for Constables/Lady Constable posts in Kolkata Police - 2024 will take place on November 30, 2025 and February 1, 2026, respectively.

The West Bengal Police Department will choose applicants for Police Constable positions through a written exam, a physical measurement test (PMT), a physical efficiency test (PET), and an interview. Aspirants selected as West Bengal Police Constables will receive salaries ranging from Rs. 22,700/- to Rs. 58,500/-.
West Bengal Police 2025: Exam pattern
Aspirants must take both a preliminary and a final written test. Shortlisted applicants who pass the preliminary examination will be eligible to take the Mains exam and subsequent tests.
1. The preliminary exams will solely be for qualifying purposes.
2. Questions in both phases will be objective in nature.
3. Except for the English section of the Mains test, the question paper will be bilingual in Bengali and Nepali.
West Bengal Police 2025: Eligibility Criteria
1. Those who want to apply must be Indian nationals and live in West Bengal.
2. Applicants for the Constable role must have cleared Class 10 from a recognised board and be able to read, write, and speak Bengali. This job is only open to men. Constables might be between 18 and 27 years old.
3. To apply for the Sub-Inspector job, aspirants need to have a graduate degree or an equivalent qualification from a college or university that is recognised. Applicants also need to be able to speak, read, and write Bengali well. Sub-Inspectors must be between the ages of 20 and 27.
