Noida: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided 12 locations of the directors and their associates of Noida's Hecienda Project Private Limited Company. Diamonds worth Rs 12 crore, gold jewellery worth Rs 7 crore and cash worth Rs 1 crore have been recovered in this raid.

Diamonds worth Rs 12 crore, gold jewellery worth Rs 7 crore and cash worth Rs 1 crore have been recovered in this raid. The special thing is that diamonds worth Rs 7 crore alone have been found from the Chandigarh residence of former UP IAS officer Sardar Mohinder Singh. Mohinder Singh, who was posted on important posts like Chairman of Noida and Greater Noida Authority and Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Planning during Mayawati's tenure, has been involved in many scams before.

ED raids on Hacienda company

Former IAS Mohinder Singh's name is also linked to the famous memorial scam of UP. He is accused of benefiting many big builders while being the CEO of Noida Authority. During the raid, ED has found many suspicious documents, property papers and a large amount of jewelry. On the basis of these evidences, investigation is being done as to which builders Mohinder Singh benefited by misusing his position and how he created illegal properties. ED's investigation is progressing in this case and with this, serious questions are being raised on the role of Mohinder Singh.

Diamonds worth crores recovered from former IAS Mohinder Singh's house

According to ED sources, diamonds, jewelry and important documents worth Rs 5 crore have also been recovered from the residence of Meerut businessman Aditya Gupta, associated with the Hacienda company. During the raid, six bank lockers have been found, which have been sealed. The ED will also investigate these bank lockers to find out what other assets are hidden in them. Along with this, the ED raided 12 locations in Meerut, Delhi, Chandigarh and Goa, including the homes and offices of the company's directors and their associates. Documents, computer hard disks and mobile phones found during these raids have been seized, which are being investigated.

Mohinder Singh accused of benefiting builders

Mohinder Singh has been in controversies earlier also. His name cropped up in the memorial scam of Rs 1400 crore during Mayawati's rule. After this, the Yogi Adityanath government ordered a detailed investigation into the matter. This raid indicates that major irregularities regarding his properties and financial transactions may be exposed. The ED has started a serious investigation against Mohinder Singh, and now the possibility of legal action against him is becoming strong.

This raid by ED has indicated that many more big names may be implicated. The documents and evidences that have been seized are revealing the fraud and forgery done with a large number of investors. Especially, large scale action can be taken against the Hacienda company in the cases of fraud with people who invested in luxury flats. Apart from this, investigation of the bank lockers that have been sealed is likely to reveal more properties.

It has become clear from this raid that ED's investigation is not only limited to properties and financial fraud, but it may also expose the illegal activities of many big officials and builders.
