Police are urging witnesses to come forward after a child was threatened and shoved out of a car during a carjacking.
In the incident in Balbriggan, Dublin at around 2.45pm on Monday, the man is reported to have threatened a child sitting in a parked white Honda Fit car as they waited for the driver to return. The man then pushed the child out of the car, before taking control of it and driving off.
The vehicle was found abandoned in the village of Donore, around the townlands of Tubberfinn and Sheephouse. Gardai are now appealing for any witness who were travelling on the L16012 Donore to Oldbridge road in County Meath and saw a '161 D' white Honda Fit to get in touch.

Road users or pedestrians who may have relevant camera or dash cam footage have also been asked to share it with officers, reports Dublin Live.
A Garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward, especially those who were in the vicinity of Donore between 3:00pm and 5:30pm on 25th of August.
"Any person who was travelling on the L16012 Donore to Oldbridge Road in County Meath and saw a '161 D' white Honda Fit is asked to contact investigating Gardai. Additionally, road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam or smartphone) are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Balbriggan Garda Station on 01 666 4500, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda station."
