The summer season has arrived, and it's that time when many of us are eager to escape the daily grind for a bit of holiday tranquillity amid nature and breathtaking scenery.

While some jet-setters may splurge on an exotic trip to Bali, there's a hidden gem right here in the UK that could trick you into thinking you've landed in a tropical haven. North Wales, typically celebrated for its majestic mountains, dramatic coastlines, and sweeping valleys, harbours a little-known treasure on the fringes of Snowdonia, not far from Bangor – the enchanting Ceunant Mawr Falls.

Travel enthusiasts Adventure.amore stumbled upon this lush spot and shared their find on TikTok, expressing surprise at its obscurity.

In their viral video, which racked up thousands of views, they exclaimed: "Did you know about this epic waterfall in Wales that looks like it's straight out of Bali? I honestly can't believe I've never heard of this before.

"This is Ceunant Mawr Falls and is probably one of the bestshort walk waterfallsI've ever been to, and it's not because it looks like something straight out of the Jungle Book.

"It literally takes minutes to get to from the car park and hardly anybody knows about it. Catch this on a warm day, and I promise you'll just forget what country you're actually in."

Ceunant Mawr Falls is indeed a sight to behold, conveniently located mere metres from the heart of Llanberis town centre.

Hundreds of tourists catch a glimpse of them from afar on the Snowdon Railway, yet there's something special about being up close with the thunderous waterfalls.

Online numerous satisfied visitors have shared their experiences. One person left a glowing five-star Google Review, saying: "Absolutely enchanting walk along the river to this triple waterfall. Only 10 minutes from Snowdonia Mountain railway and a good stop off for a dip if you've just got back from the Snowdon hike."

Snowdonia Guide recommends an easy one and a half mile circuit around the falls for the finest views and a chance to stretch your legs. Their advice is: "Commencing at the forecourt of the Snowdon Mountain Railway Station (parking is available opposite the station) in the centre of Llanberis, turn right, then take the first right turn."

They then instruct hikers to proceed to the end of the road and follow the public footpath on the left, signposted Ceunant Mawr Waterfall.

Continue along the path past the viaduct and uphill to an outstanding vantage point. They note: "The impressive waterfall can be viewed from an observation point which is reached by crossing the mountain railway track through a turnstile-style gate positioned near the top of the hill."

To finish the journey, simply retrace your steps back to Llanberis.
