ILKEDWAYURTHINKIN (4.05, Nap) looks the logical choice in the Molson Coors Veterans' Handicap Chase at Cartmel on Bank Holiday Monday.
The 11-year-old, trained by Ben Haslam, is primed to bounce back from being pulled up last time over 4m1f at Newcastle where he failed to stay.
He will be more suited by Monday's trip of 3m5f and should relish the likely good ground.
Previously to the Newcastle race, the son of Yeats was not out of the first three in five races, including two victories.
His latter success came at Newcastle over Monday's distance in November where he made all under Richie McLernon, jumping well and forging clear three out to win eased down by eight and a half lengths from Jem In Em.
My selection is also proven over the obstacles at Cartmel, having won twice at the track, and should take all the beating.
At Windsor, DURHAM CASTLE (3.20, nb) is fancied to land the Blackmore Design And Build Handicap despite a long layoff.
Last time out, in September, the son of Havana Grey won a handicap at Goodwood in good style, running on strongly to win by three lengths from Rhythm N Hooves.
Previously to that, the Simon and Ed Crisford-trained gelding comfortably won a maiden on the all-weather at Southwell.
He can shrug off a 9lb rise to start his new season in style under Harry Davies.
