A teenager has been charged with attempted murder following a double stabbing.
Emergency services, including armed police, were called to an address in Kirkby, at around 8.25pm on Wednesday and found a 15-year-old boy had suffered a number of stab wounds to the body.
A 14-year-old was also found at the scene - she endured a single stab wound to the chest. The two victims remain hospitalised following the attack. Merseyside Police offered an update and said they are both in a stable condition.
The force have since confirmed that a boy, aged 14, has been charged with attempted murder and section 18 wounding with intent. He cannot be named at this time due to legal reasons.

Detectives have also arrested a second suspect – a 15-year-old boy - on suspicion of attempted murder and s18 wounding with intent. He is currently in custody where he will be questioned by detectives.
Detective Inspector Graeme Osborne, of , issued an appeal for information. He said: “Even though we have made arrests and a charge our investigation remains ongoing. We are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
"Knives have no place on the streets of Merseyside and we will continue to do everything within our powers to find the people carrying and using weapons and bringing them to justice.”
