The weather in the UK is set for a dramatic turnaround as maps reveal a mini-heatwave is on the horizon this month.
Maps created by WXCharts using Metdesk data highlight parts of the country in orange, signifying the balmy temperatures expected to hit regions on 25 September. Brits can anticipate the hot weather blanketing certain areas for the entire day, with temperaturessoaring as high as 25C in places.
The east and southeast, including Suffolk, Norfolk, and Greater London, will bask in the warmest conditions, with temperatures fluctuating between 22C and 25C. While temperatures will dip slightly further south, predicted to be around 20C and 21C, the overall trend of the map indicates that temperatures decrease as you move westwards.

Those up north can also brace for slightly cooler temperatures, hovering in the mid to high-10s. Cumbria and North Yorkshire will experience the lowest of the range, with temperatures at 14C in some spots, reports the Express.
For most of the nation, the warm weather will be paired with dry conditions. However, parts of the West Midlands, like Worcester, Birmingham, Stoke, and Greater Manchester, will encounter rainfall in the early afternoon.
The Met Officealso predicts patches of rain to intersect with dry, settled weather.
The weather agency's long-range forecast for Wednesday, 17 September to Friday, 26 September states: "There may be a trend toward more in the way of settled and drier interludes interspersed with further periods of rain and showers.
"These look more likely across southern areas of the UK, but may extend to other parts at times. Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly below overall, but if we start to see more in the way of dry weather later in the period, temperatures could recover back to a little above average at times."
