Young woman's sobering message after she thought she was going die following boob job

A young woman who thought she was going to die after her boob job has encouraged others to embrace their bodies.

Summer Iris, 20, went from cup size A to a D after feeling insecure about her body shape for years. Summer became so desperate to "fit in" she splurged more than £11,000 ($15,000) on her boob job, which left her on bed rest to keep her heart rate low and unable to lift her arms.

And, speaking on TikTok where Summer has more than 1.5million followers, the influencer admitted the recovery process for her procedure isn't what she thought it would be. The young woman, from North Carolina, said: "I've been stuck in pyjamas 24/7 since the surgery. I can't lift my arms or get my heart rate up " so doctors have put me on bed rest for two weeks while I recover. I've got all my group chats muted and am staying away from anything that could make me feel too stressed or excited."

Reflecting on her own experience, Summer told her followers to embrace their bodies. She continued: "We're all comparing ourselves. We just don't talk about it. Some people would joke about me being 'flat' " it does get to you after a while." Her message comes after a woman claimed 'I regret marrying an older man, one part of our history has given me the ick'.

The Mirror recently explored how social media is affecting body image, highlighting some calls to ban or modify social media. The pressures became so severe for Summer she went under general anaesthesia to grow her cup size in the US.

The clip in which has reassures her followers has been viewed more than 200,000 times. In it, Summer adds: "This was my first time getting cosmetic surgery and I was terrified of going under general anaesthesia. I thought I was going to die. The recovery has been tough and a bit painful. I didn't think it would be so extreme."

Summer makes more than £35,000 ($50,000) every month as a social media influencer, a career which has helped the woman enjoy regular shopping sprees. She recently bought a Porsche and £490,000 ($650,000) home. However, Summer says she particularly enjoys splashing the cash on her family, having paid off her mum's debt this year.

It comes after a plus size influencer recently opened up about her past struggles with body image, revealing she used to wear baggy jumpers and risk heat stroke in summer – but now she's confidently "fat and proud".
