A shocking twist has emerged in the murder case of Dr. Krithika M. Reddy, who was allegedly killed by her husband, Dr. Mahendra Reddy GS, in Bengaluru. Police now reveal that Mahendra contacted multiple women shortly after his wife’s death and even proposed marriage to several of them.
According to investigation reports, Mahendra confessed to one woman that he had killed his wife, sending disturbing messages to four to five women, including a fellow medical professional. He reportedly told one of them, “I killed my wife for you.”
Messages Sent Through Payment AppOne woman stated that after blocking Mahendra on multiple social media platforms, he reached out via the PhonePe app. Investigators believe Mahendra was attempting to remarry and was in touch with several women for that purpose. He murdered his wife Krithika on April 24 by administering anesthesia, and was arrested months later in Udupi district on October 14.
Manipulating Contacts and Lies About DeathPolice seized Mahendra’s mobile phone and laptop for forensic analysis, uncovering his series of manipulative messages. The DCP of Whitefield confirmed that one woman had blocked Mahendra before his marriage, later cutting contact altogether. She clarified that she had no role in his crime.
Further investigation found that Mahendra was also in touch with a woman from Mumbai until 2023, proposing marriage several times. In a strange move, Mahendra had his father inform her of his own supposed death. Months later, he confessed to her that he was alive, claiming that “his horoscope had predicted the death of his first wife” and that he now wished to marry her.
The Murder of Krithika ReddyThe case came to light after businessman K. Muni Reddy, father of the deceased and father-in-law of Mahendra, filed a formal complaint. Krithika, an MBBS and MD-qualified doctor, had married Mahendra on May 26, 2024. Soon after, Mahendra allegedly began harassing her for money, pressuring her family to finance the construction of a hospital.
On April 21, 2025, Mahendra reportedly injected Krithika with a sedative under the pretext of treating stomach pain. By the next morning, she was found unconscious and declared dead at the hospital. Her family now accuses Mahendra of premeditated murder driven by greed and deceit.
