Mahindra’s compact SUV, the XUV 3XO, first launched in India in 2024 as the XUV300, has quickly gained attention for its luxurious cabin, feature-rich interior, and multiple engine options. The ex-showroom price starts at around ₹7.49 lakh and goes up to ₹15.80 lakh for the top-spec AX7 L Turbo AT variant, while the diesel variant begins at approximately ₹9.99 lakh.
Hybrid and Electric Variants Coming in 2026Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to expand the XUV 3XO lineup with hybrid and electric versions expected in 2026. The hybrid model could be India’s first from Mahindra, featuring a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine combined with a robust hybrid system.
The electric variant, XUV 3XO EV, is likely to come with a 35kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor. Both hybrid and EV versions are expected to receive minor exterior updates, such as ‘Hybrid’ or ‘EV’ badges, new alloy designs, and updated instrument cluster software.
Next-Generation DesignThe Vision X concept, unveiled on August 15, 2025, previews Mahindra’s new-generation compact SUV design, which the production XUV 3XO is expected to adopt. Built on Mahindra’s NU IQ platform, the SUV will support multiple powertrains, including petrol, hybrid, and electric.
The concept features a closed grille with Mahindra’s signature logo, coupe-style windshield, aero-optimized dual-tone alloy wheels, and full black cladding. While the production model may see some changes, it is expected to retain the modern, sporty appeal of the Vision X.
Market PositionIn the subcompact SUV segment, the XUV 3XO will compete with popular models like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Sonet, offering buyers flexible powertrain options and strong mileage in a compact, stylish package.
