Uttar Pradesh News: A Dalit girl from the Fugana police station area in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, was raped first in Ghaziabad and then in Delhi by two different men. The police took immediate action in this case and arrested both the accused. This incident started during Raksha Bandhan. According to the police, a young man named Sameer, a resident of Doghat in Baghpat district, had come to a village in the Fugana police station area of Muzaffarnagar to sell Rakhi during Raksha Bandhan. During this time, he came in contact with a Dalit girl.
How did the girl reach Ghaziabad-Delhi?According to a police complaint, on September 22nd, Sameer lured the woman to the Loni area of Ghaziabad. In Loni, Sameer raped her. After raping her, he put her on a train to Delhi. In Delhi, a taxi driver, Alok Mishra, took advantage of the woman's helplessness. He lured her with the promise of a job and raped her. Thus, the woman was brutally assaulted by two different individuals at two different locations within a span of just a few hours.
The girl lodged an FIR at the Fugana police station.Escaped the taxi driver's clutches, the victim went directly to the Fugana police station. She narrated her ordeal to the women police team and filed a written complaint against the two accused, Sameer and Alok Mishra, demanding immediate action. Given the sensitivity of the case, the Fugana police station's anti-Romeo women police team prioritized it under Mission Shakti. SP Rural Aditya Bansal informed the media that the police team immediately began investigating the complaint upon receiving it. He added that the police team arrested both accused without delay.
The accused was seen pleading with folded handsPolice have charged both accused with rape and other related offenses, as well as serious sections of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act. Following their arrest, Muzaffarnagar police have "taught" both accused a good lesson. While in police custody, both criminals were seen pleading, limping, and begging for forgiveness from the police team with folded hands, images of which later surfaced.
Police took action under 'Mission Shakti'The SP Rural stressed that no perpetrator of atrocities against women in Uttar Pradesh will be spared, and the police are continuously working to teach such criminals a lesson and send them to jail. Under Mission Shakti, the police are fully committed to women's safety. Currently, the police have arrested both accused and sent them to jail, and further legal action is underway in the case.
