Nissan Magnite Facelift Launched at Rs5.99-Lakh for First 10,000 Bookings: Features, Engine Details, and More

Nissan has officially launched the facelifted version of its popular sub-4-metre compact SUV, the Magnite, at an introductory price of ₹5.99 lakh for the first 10,000 bookings. Pre-registrations began last week, and deliveries are set to start on Saturday.

Exterior Updates

The facelifted Magnite features a redesigned front grille, new headlight designs, and updated rear LED taillamps. A revised rear bumper design and new six-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels give the SUV a more modern look.

Interior and Features

Inside, the Magnite facelift offers a refreshed dual-tone black and orange interior. While the cabin layout remains largely similar to the outgoing model, notable additions include a larger infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a bigger digital driver's display, automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, and a single-pane sunroof. The SUV also comes with leatherette seat covers and an anti-heating steering wheel, making it ideal for warm countries like India.

Other features include four ambient interior lights, a spacious 10-litre glove box, 366 litres of boot space, and 1-litre bottle holders in all doors. The rear seats have cup holders and mobile holders for added convenience.

The Magnite facelift also introduces Nissan’s new I-Key system, allowing users to start the engine remotely from up to 60 meters away. The system also includes approach unlock and walkaway lock features, which automatically lock and unlock the vehicle.

Safety Features Safety remains a key focus for Nissan. The Magnite facelift comes equipped with over 55 active and passive safety features, including six airbags as standard and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Engine Specifications The facelifted Magnite retains the same engine options as its predecessor. It is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 99 horsepower, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission (MT). This variant offers a mileage of 20 kmpl. Additionally, the model is available with a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT), which provides a mileage of 17.4 kmpl.

Variants and Colour Options The new Magnite is available in six variants: Visa, Visa+, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna, and Tekna+. It comes in Sunrise Copper Orange and 13 other color options for the international market, including eight mono-tone and five dual-tone options.

Nissan’s Expansion Plans Nissan outlined its plans for growth, focusing on becoming more profitable, sustainable, and electrified. The company will emphasize markets in Europe, Africa, Oceania, and Asia in the coming years.

Regarding its Chennai plant, Nissan revealed that it is the first globally to achieve water-positive status while reducing its carbon footprint. The company plans to expand its solar capacity from 2.2 MW to 14 MW by 2026. The Chennai facility has already produced 2.7 million cars, of which 1.1 million have been exported. Nissan’s operations in India also provide employment to 70,000 direct and indirect workers. The carmaker is set to invest $100 million in the Magnite project in India.

The new Magnite will be made in India and will be exported to 45 countries, including 20 left-hand drive markets.
