Relationship with Vidya Balan

Priyamani revealed that her real name is Priya Vasudev Mani Iyer and she is a Tamil Brahmin. She is Vidya Balan's cousin, and her grandfather and Vidya's grandfather were real brothers. However, Priyamani also said that she has met Vidya Balan only twice so far—once at an award function and the other time at Shah Rukh Khan's party.

Story of love and marriage

Priyamani's love story is also quite interesting. She met Mustafa Raj during an IPL match, when she was the brand ambassador of a cricket team and Mustafa was the event manager. Gradually both became good friends and then fell in love. However, Mustafa was already married and had two children, but they got divorced in the year 2013. After this, Priyamani and Mustafa got married in 2017.

Facing trolling

Priyamani was trolled many times after marriage. Especially when she shared Eid photos on social media, people started trolling her and asked why she did not post pictures of Navratri. Trollers even said that she has changed her religion. But Priyamani responded to all these allegations by saying that she was born a Hindu and will continue to follow her religion. She said that marrying in another religion does not mean that someone changes his religion.
