17 From Odisha Police Conferred With Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak 2025

Bhubaneswar: In a proud moment for the Odisha Police, 17 distinguished officers and personnel have been honoured with the prestigious ‘Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak’ 2025 in recognition for their exceptional dedication, bravery, and professionalism in investigation and special operations.

This information was shared by the state police in two separate posts on its X handle.
The awardees include Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police (SP) Gundala Reddy Raghavendra. He was awarded for his outstanding contributions to special operations.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) Anil Kumar Das, Inspector Himanshu Bhushan Swain, and Inspector Dhabaleshwar Sahu have been also been conferred with the honour for their outstanding performance and excellence in the field of investigation.

Their meticulous work, perseverance, and commitment to upholding justice have set remarkable standards within the force.

The Director General of Police (DGP) has extended heartiest congratulations to all the medal winners, appreciating their relentless service, integrity, and devotion to duty that continue to bring laurels to the state police.

Apart from Jharsuguda SP Gundala Reddy Raghavendra who was earlier SP of Nuapada, 13 others have received the prestigious Padak for their outstanding contributions to special operations.
The award recognizes exceptional courage, skill, and dedication in high-risk missions.

The honoured team includes elite members of the Special Operations Group (SOG) SI Deepak Kumar Naik, SI Manoj Dungdung, Havildar Miniketan Jued, Havildar Rabindra Oram, Commando Bharat Sen, Commando Pradeep Kumar, Commando Dharmendra Bhoi, Commando Himal Shrestha, Commando Govinda Karki, Commando Ritesh Kumar Negi, Commando Chittaranjan Jhankar, Commando Tanuja Dharua, and Commando Udhaba Nayak.

These officers and personnel played key roles in counter-insurgency and tactical operations across Odisha. Their bravery and precision reflect the highest standards of policing and public service.

The Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak is awarded by the Ministry of Home Affairs to recognise excellence in internal security duties.
