BBC Breakfast viewers said the same thing as they pointed out a "strange" detail live on air.
On Thursday (August 14), hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty were on the iconic red sofa to present the latest news from across the UK and around the world.
Mike Bushell was also in the studio for the sports segment, while Carol Kirkwood was on hand to deliver regular weather forecasts.
During the show, Charlie and Naga spoke to education reporter Vanessa Clarke, who was at a college in Middlesbrough as A-Level students received their exam results.
They also shared updates on the war in Ukraine, ahead of Friday's summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Elsewhere in the episode, business reporter Ben Boulos was reporting live from a wind farm in North Lincolnshire amid changes to the UK economy.
"This isn't just any old wind farm, this is England's largest onshore wind farm," Ben revealed.
"The reason we've come here is because the government hopes that renewable energy sites like this can power not just our homes and our workplaces, but also potentially power some economic growth as well."
Ben then spoke to Sam Peacock, Managing Director of Corporate Affairs at SSE, and John McHale, Managing Director of ActionCOACH Lincolnshire, about the impact of wind farms.
Later, Ben returned to screen to report on the latest business figures, after it was revealed that the economy grew by 0.3% in the second quarter of this year.
However, BBC viewers were quick to share their confusion over Ben wearing a hard hat and thick gloves on the empty field, with many commenting on how "strange" the detail was.
"Why are they wearing hard hats in the middle of a field?" one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
"There is literally no need for all the ppe standing in a field ffs," another added, while a third said: "Hard hats and goggles on a wind farm? Ok."
A fourth viewer shared: "A hi viz and padded jacket? We have a heat wave," with another similarly commenting: "Why are they wearing gloves stood in the middle of a field."
