Celebrity Traitors viewers fumed "big mistake" after a star's sudden exit on Wednesday (October 29).
Earlier this month, Claudia Winkleman returned to the Scottish Highlands, as 19 celebrities hoped to lie, betray and backstab their way to winning £100,000 for a charity of their choice.
Traitors Alan Carr, Cat Burns and Jonathan Ross have remained undetected so far, with ten innocent Faithfuls being eliminated from the game.
Fans were left on the edge of their seats last week as a tense cliffhanger put Lucy Beaumont, Nick Mohammed and Kate Garraway in danger of being murdered.
One of them was set to come face-to face with the three Traitors, while the other two would safely make it through another night. The final seconds of last week's episode saw the trio turning around and gasping, leaving viewers guessing whether the Traitors or Claudia were waiting behind them, reports Wales Online.
At the start of tonight's episode, it was revealed that Lucy had been killed by the Traitors, with the comedian being left stunned after learning who the deceitful trio were.
However, many fans were left confused as to why the Traitors didn't kill Nick as he has been on to them in recent episodes.
"Imo not killing Nick was a HUGE mistake from the Traitors there! #CelebrityTraitors," one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Another added: "Should have murdered Nick!" while a third said: "I feel like it was a misstep not murdering Nick. But maybe his plan is paying off."
A fourth fan echoed the sentiment saying: "It's a mistake by the Traitors not murdering Nick," with another adding: "Why would they not murder Nick?? He is the only one who's onto them.
"Lucy and Kate could be easily swayed but Nick actually was onto Jonathan and possibly Cat, and also would form an alliance with Joe. Weird decision."
Meanwhile, another viewer shared a differing opinion: "Not murdering Nick was smart because the traitors can spin how he threw the chessboard game and get him banished at the roundtable."
Following her murder, Lucy shared her shock after learning who the Traitors were, saying: "I can't believe it was Cat!
"I've totally let my emotions cloud things and not wanting to believe that, because I've built up a friendship with somebody, that they're not capable of doing it."
She added: "There was an element of real shock and feeling quite betrayed, and also, like a relief to finally know who they are. I can't believe it."
