Another WTA 1000 tournament will kick off in Wuhan on Monday, and Emma Raducanu learned her fate in the draw after a nervouf wait. The Brit is blewmultiple match points against Pegula in Beijing earlier this week, and could well meet the American again in the third round of the Wuhan Open.

Over in Shanghai, Jannik Sinner started his title defence with a straightforward win, joining Novak Djokovic in the second round after the Serb beat Marin Cilic in "crazy" conditions.
