Thursday's instalment (October 31) of the ITV quiz show saw Charlotte, Nilpa, Mike and Ethan put their knowledge to the test against Jenny Ryan.
The team got off to a flying start, with 40-year-old Charlotte answering seven questions correctly in the cash builder round.
Despite The Vixen's best attempts to move Charlotte's position on the board using higher and lower money offers, she decided to stick with the £7,000. The modern foreign languages teacher showed off her incredible knowledge and was the first contestant who made it back to the final chase.
Up next was Nilpa, who followed in the footsteps of her teammate as she earned £5,000 in the cash builder. The contestants proved they were in great form as the 32-year-old made it through to the final chase, taking the team's total to £12,000.
The third player to take on The Vixen was Mike. After answering three questions correctly in the cash builder, Jenny gave him two other offers of £70,000 and £1,000.
Turning to his teammates for advice, all three urged him to either take the higher offer or the lower offer, with Ethan claiming the £3,000 makes the least sense.
However, the 53-year-old ignored their advice, revealing he was never going to go low and therefore chose to stick with his £3,000.
Hitting out at his decision, Jenny fumed: "I think that's the amount that makes the least sense. You should have listened to Ethan." To which Bradley simply responded: "I agree."
Unfortunately for Mike, it didn't take long for Jenny to catch him, making him the first contestant eliminated from the competition.
That's a tough blow for the team as they were looking for a full house," Bradley quipped. Turning to the three contestants, he added: "Ouch ouch ouch, not good that. Should've gone low."
Jenny chimed in: "Exactly, Ethan gave some really good advice there. The middle offer made the least amount of sense there. If you're going to get caught, you should get caught in a blaze of glory."
The final contestant to take on The Vixen was Ethan, who answered just two questions correctly in the cash builder. With his two teammates urging him to go big, the 22-year-old followed their advice and chose to play for £88,000.
The renewable energy intern put on an astounding display in the head-to-head and made it through to the final chase, taking the team's total to an eye-watering £100,000.
The trio answered 17 questions correctly in the final chase, however, in a devastating turn of events, were caught by The Vixen with just five seconds remaining.
