Brits will need to dust off their winter coats and gloves as a -1C cold snap is set to crash into the country. UK weather maps have turned an icy blue indicating freezing temperatures are on their way.
WXCHARTS weather maps predict that a whopping 19 counties will see temperatures plummet in just over two weeks time on Tuesday November 4. It appears the new month will bring sub zero temperatures with Scotland and northern England estimated to face the brunt of the bone chilling weather. The mercury will plunge below zero at 6pm with Argyll, Stirlingshire and Argyllshire in Scotland all forecast -1C.


Meanwhile, the South West will see temperatures drop to 0C while temperatures in the north east will hover between a still freezing 1C to -1C.
Scotland's capital is predicted 0C whilst the Scottish borders are on track to see temperatures hit 1C. Inverness is even predicted to see 2cm of snow fall per hour.
England will not miss out on the icy conditions as Cumbria and Northumberland are both predicted to see the mercury drop to 0C.
Key cities in the north including Newcastle will see temperatures reach a still chilly 2C.
The freezing weather only spreads further as we go into the early hours of Wednesday November 5 with Cumbria and Northumberland to see the mercury drop to below zero.

Elsewhere, Yorkshire and Lancashire are set to record temperatures of 0C.
At midnight on November 5 weather maps show that large swathes of the Scottish Highlands will even see snow with up to 3cm forecast per hour. By 6am the entirety of the Scottish Highland will be covered in snow and parts of south west Scoland will also see snowfall.
