Vinicius Junior making Kylian Mbappe regret Real Madrid move as Ballon d'Or decision made

Vinicius Junior will make Kylian Mbappe regret joining Real Madrid and winning the Ballon d'Or on Monday is just the start.

Mbappe was supposed to be the poster boy of the new Galacticos era and eight goals in his first 13 appearances is not to be sniffed at.

But he is living in the shadow of Vinicius, who is dazzling fans in the Spanish capital and stole the show in the Champions League this week.

Mbappe prefers to play on the left wing, using his blistering pace to cut open defences before firing home with his favoured right foot.

Carlo Ancelotti cannot displace Vinicius in this form so Mbappe is being crowbarred in the team down the middle of a front three.

If the Frenchman had left Paris Saint-Germain two years ago, when his Brazilian counterpart was still finding his feet, he'd be in with a chance of winning this year's Ballon d'Or.

He'd be the star player hoisted on a pedestal.

But he arrived too late and is not even in the top two at his dream club anymore, with Jude Bellingham having stepped ahead of him.

Vinicius will rightfully claim a first golden ball and while playing in the same team, Mbappe will struggle to get his hands on it.

La Liga mistake

DID La Liga bosses not learn anything from the European Super League outrage?

They've come up with a hideous plan to take Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid to Miami in December.

Season ticket holders will be furious if they don't get to see the second biggest fixture they have already paid for.
