Donald Trump's McDonald's Gig 'Staged'? Circular Sparks Theories

Send Push

Soon after former President Donald Trump finished up his McDonald's gig on Sunday, several social media users alleged that the 78-year-old's campaign stop was 'fake' and 'staged'. Some said that the Republican nominee 'did not actually work' at the outlet in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania. They backed their claims with an image of a circular saying that the branch was closed on October 20. This came as Trump manned the fry station at a McDonald's and served several voters who stopped by the drive-thru window. A large crowd could be seen lined up at the street outside the restaurant in Feasterville-Trevose, which is part of Bucks County, a key swing voter area north of Philadelphia.Read More: Talking to customers and employees, Trump pushed his theory that VP Kamala Harris lied about working at McDonald's when she was in college. He later wished her a 'very happy' 60th birthday. However, soon some social media users posted images of a circular outside the McDonald's outlet. They said that the branch was closed for the day and Trump's gig was staged.

"So the place wasn’t even open. It was all staged and fake. He didn’t work for real at a McDonalds. It was a staged fraud just like every other event," one person said on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.

"Who else was NOT surprised to learn that Trump’s event at a closed McDonald’s was totally staged and as fraudulent as he is? ✋" another one asked. The circular said that the McDonald's outlet was closed on Sunday 'to accommodate a visit at the request of former President Trump and his campaign'. Read More: "While we are not a political organization, we proudly open our doors to everyone and as a locally owned and operated location, this visit provides a unique opportunity to shine a light on the positive impact of small businesses here in Feasterville. We're equally honored to share the significance of what 1 in 8 Americans have experienced: that a job at McDonald's is more than just a job. It's a pathway to critical skills development and meaningful career opportunities," it added. Some others posted images from the scene, claiming that some cars and drivers were rehearsing ahead of Trump's gig.
