New Delhi: The elevation of DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin as Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in a "week or in 10 days", a senior minister has confirmed to Times Now. "Not just a chance, it is going to happen," DMK Minister Tha Mo Anbarasan said."It's going to happen for real. In a week or in 10 days, our Sports and Youth welfare Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin will be appointed as the Deputy Chief Minsiter," Tha Mo Anbarasan, who is Minister For MSME and Tamilnadu Urban Habitation Development Board, said.The announcement could happen "even tomorrow", he said.The buzz around Udhayanidhi Stalin's elevation had gained ground ever since MK Stalin hinted about the same before embarking on a visit to the US earlier this month.In August this year, Tamil Nadu Minister Rajakannappan also mentioned about the elevation of Stalin jr, after he referred to him as the state's Deputy Chief Minister. However, Rajakannappan immediately corrected himself, saying he could refer to Udhayanidhi as Deputy Chief Minister only after August 19."The Chief Minister has said that education and medicine are like the two eyes. He admires education so much. The benefit is that there is a department called skill development, which comes under our Deputy Chief Minister--sorry, our minister Udhayanidhi. Sorry, we can't call him that before August 19," Rajakannappan, Tamil Nadu's Minister of Backward Classes Welfare, was quoted as saying at an event.Apart from the sports and youth welfare ministry, Udhayanidhi Stalin is also handles the key portfolio of special programme implementation.He inspects and reviews the implementation of key projects such as the Chennai Metro Rail Phase-2.
