The Indian women's hockey team will look for redemption when they begin their Asian Champions Trophy campaign on Monday in the town of Rajgir in Bihar. This year has been a struggling one for the women and they would look to give their best on home soil to win one tournament and begin the journey towards the next Olympics on a high. India have won the title twice in 2016 (Singapore) and 2023 (Ranchi) in the seven editions of the Asian Champions Trophy till now. After not being able to qualify for the Paris Olympics, the Indian team lost 13 games and won just two (with one draw) out of 16 in the women's FIH Pro League this year, but will hope to make a turnaround in their fortune with a strong performance in the tournament.
