Bigg Boss fame Sana Khan, who tied the knot with Muslim cleric Mufti Anas Sayed in Surat on November 21, 2020, recently shared new insights into her personal life during Rubina Dilaik's podcast. For the first time, Sana revealed the seven-year age gap between her and her husband, disclosing that she is older than Anas. She also opened up about their unique love story, giving fans a deeper look into their relationship and the bond they share.

Talking about their wedding proposal, Sana shared, "One Maulana ji sent Anas’ wedding proposal to me, I was like ye kaise hoga, because my husband is almost 7 years younger to me. I was like “Tum chote ho, I am 7 years older.” But he made me understand why we should get married. I always felt Maulana’s were very boring because I came from a very fancy life. I heard Anas talking about a late friend so passionately and wishing well for his soul. I asked myself if I have a single friend who would wish this well for me even after my death and I realised I had no one. That was the first thing that attracted me towards Anas."

Sana Khan also opened up about the harsh remarks and negativity surrounding her marriage. She shared how people speculated that their union wouldn't last, with some predicting it would end in just three months or that they would divorce in six months. Others even claimed she would never have children. "When we got married there were a lot of people who made remarks like the wedding will last for only 3 months, they will get divorced in 6 months and she will never have a child. Imagine people saying such things and making videos, especially when you’ve just gotten married and are an emotional person," Sana expressed. She revealed that she struggled to cope, crying frequently during the first six months of her marriage. However, her husband, Mufti Anas, offered her support, telling her, "Let people say whatever they want, it doesn't matter."

Sana Khan, who appeared in the Bollywood film Wajah Tum Ho, also revealed how she first met her husband during a dark period in her life. "When I met my husband for the first time, I was going through a very bad phase," she shared. She was struggling with depression and even had suicidal thoughts, although she clarified that she never intended to act on them, as suicide is considered haram in Islam. Sana emphasized that despite the challenges she faced, her faith kept her grounded during those difficult times.

Speaking about her Anas, Sana revealed how he is a very simple man, "My husband’s life has been very simple. We were getting married and I remember he has only 6 new clothes in the entire year, that’s it and 5 shows, usmein sirf do chappal. When I married him I was like, kapde Kahan hai… he had a very small shelf in our cupboard. When we got married, I used to post photos on our social media and people would ask, “aapke husband Ek he blazer kabse pehne hai..?” I was like he doesn’t have any other. How will he wear a different one? He leads that lifestyle and it’s not like he can’t buy them but he likes to stay like that. When I met him, I was like sach mein Aise log hai duniya mein. I make sure to thank god everyday."
