Dhivya Sashidhar , the estranged wife of Rippling co-founder Prasanna Sankar , has made explosive allegations against her husband amid their ongoing divorce and custody battle . In an interview with The San Francisco Standard, Sashidhar accused Sankar of coercing her into an open marriage , engaging with escorts, and subjecting her to abusive behaviour.
Sashidhar claimed that Sankar pressured her into sexual activity even during her recovery from childbirth complications, threatening to seek intimacy outside the marriage if she refused. She also alleged that Sankar contacted escorts and proposed an open marriage in a December 2019 email, which she described as deeply distressing. According to Sashidhar, Sankar later apologised for his actions but continued to exhibit controlling behaviour.
The allegations extend beyond their personal relationship, with Sashidhar accusing Sankar of moving their family, including their nine-year-old son, between countries to evade taxes on his significant wealth.
