In times of challenging job market, industrialist Harsh Goenka 's tweet on saving money has stirred a debate in the online community .

Industrialist Harsh Goenka on Wednesday said a person should save Rs 600 per day, which means Rs 18,000 a month and Rs 2,19,000 a year.

In a post on X, Goenka said, ''Saving ₹ 600 per day = ₹ 2,19,000 per year. Reading 20 pages per day = 30 books per year. Walking 10,000 steps per day = 70 marathons per year. Never underestimate the power of small habits."

Goenka's tweet might have been posted with the intention of inspiring change through consistency but this post didn't go well with the majority of the users as it is tweeted at a time when people are being laid off and the costs of products are skyrocketing. And this is the reason that his tweet received mixed reactions as many users highlighted the challenges faced by the average Indian citizen in achieving such goals.

On of the users said, "See on ground before dreaming any thoughts. Majority of Indians are struggling to earn Rs. 600 per day and you are talking about saving Rs. 600? Majority of Indians spend more than 15 hours to earn just to sustain, when they will get time and calm mind to read 20 page and walk 10000 steps per day? Sadly, your statement is feasible only for a certain portion of population."

While another user said, "How will you save daily Do u get salary daily Reading karni hogi utni hi karega admi 20 page randomly to nahi padhega Paisa aa jaye to koi kuch nhi Gyan deta hai. (If someone needs to study, they will do just that; they won't randomly read 20 pages. When money comes in, no one shares their knowledge.)"

Another user said, "70% of Indian earning less than this. So stop this theatrics and pay well to your employees."

There were some users who agreed with his statement and said, "Consistency in these small actions often turns into significant achievements."
