Jharkhand a tough battleground but we hope to do well: Sarma

Send Push
GUWAHATI: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma , BJP 's Jharkhand co-in-charge for assembly polls , described the state as a "tough battleground," while affirming that the party will "leave no stone unturned in its endeavour to secure victory."

While five constituencies in Assam are also set for bypolls, Sarma has been dedicating minimal time to it, instead choosing to focus primarily on campaigning in Jharkhand.

"We are trying our best, but Jharkhand is a tough state to win. Hope we do well in the polls," Sarma told mediapersons. "I am extremely preoccupied with Jharkhand elections . I have limited information regarding Assam bypolls and have asked our ministers and party members to oversee the campaign. I am uncertain as to whether I will be able to participate in campaigning here."
