Ellen DeGeneres has come under fire for an Instagram post that has stirred up debate among her followers. The American talk show host shared a repost from actress Jamie Lee Curtis , captioning it, "This is beyond politics. It's about love and inclusion vs hate and violence ." The post featured a striking image of an individual representing the LGBTQ community , with the tattooed message: "YOU CAN'T TELL SOMEONE YOU LOVE THEM AND THEN VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL HURT THEM."

The backlash was swift, with many users expressing their discontent in the comments section. One user, identifying as gay, remarked, "I’m gay and I’m voting for Trump . Do I hate myself? Absolutely not. Messages like these are what spreads hate." Another comment read, "Nobody is hurting anyone. You celebs need to just stop with this brainwashing sh*t!"

Support for Trump was notably vocal among the responses, with one user suggesting, "So DON’T vote for Kamala then! Trump 2024 ," while another said, "Everyone in comments is pro Trump. LOVE THIS." Many comments shared similar sentiments, with phrases like " Proud of the comments!!! Trump 2024!!!" and "The comments here are refreshing!".
